Tošč

Parking

We arrive at the parking around 08:30 in the morning. It is cloudy and there is still a hint of fog in the air. The parking area is just a small space to side of the road.

Climb to the waterfall under Tošč

We start by walking back down the road we came on for a short bit. A small stream runs alongside the road. After maybe 50 meters we see the forest trail on the other side of the stream. This steep and slippery forest trail leads us to the waterfall under Tošč.

We hear the waterfall before we see it, slowly getting louder as we progress along the forest trail until we go around a corner and get a great view of the waterfall under Tošč (Slapovi pod Toščem).

On to Tošč

We see multiple smaller waterfalls as we follow the forest trail further up the hill. We also get to see a lot of fire salamanders. At some point the sound of the water is overpowered by a loud clunking sound, which turns out to be a hydraulic ram type water pump. The forest trail joins a wider path and from this point on the hike becomes a lot easier.

Tošč

We make it to the top where a couple of benches and a registration box with stamp await us.

Down to Mali Tošč

We backtrack a little until and then follow a different path towards Mali Tošč.

Back to the parking

To get back to the parking I had planned 2 options. The first option circled back to the path we started on and we would follow that back to the car. But since it was quite steep and slippery we decided not to do that. The other option was to continue towards the Gonte Farm and follow the road back down from there. But since the first option was programmed in my GPS watch and I wasn't paying attention, we ended up doing something in between of the 2 options.
