The forecast for today is that it's going to be hot, so I got up really early and arrive at the parking area at half past 5 in the morning. The road till here was good tarmac with lots of sharp turns. The parking is about 20 meters down a gravel road that leads away from the tarmac road (road 906). It is possible to drive another 2 kilometers on the gravel road to find a parking area closer to the mountain peaks, but I chose to walk that instead.
The walk along the forest road is a nice gentle warmup through the Pokljuka forest.
After about 2 kilometers I arrive at the Pri Rupah parking area. The gravel road here is very good and I think any car can drive here if you want to get to the more exciting part of the hike faster.
Behind the parking area a straight path starts up the mountain side. It's rocky and rooty but not too steep. The path crosses a forest road after a while and starts to meander it's way further up the mountain towards the Bled hut.
It's still quite early when I get to the Bled hut at the edge of the Lipanca pasture. Nobody seems to be around so I just pass through between the buildings and continue on the path behind them.
There are a lot of paths leading away from the hut but I eventually find the one that leads to Mrežce. It's steep and the sun is getting stronger while the forest is getting thinner, then it gets even steeper until I get to the mountain ridge where the beautiful views make it all worth it.
I make it to the first mountain peak for today: Mrežce. On the side opposite to where I come from is a very steep and impressive drop.
I continue along the mountain ridge to the next peak: Lipanski Vrh. There is quite some climbing involved here, but there are plenty metal wires and holds to make it easy.
The path down from Lipanski Vrh is an easy walk, but then it's a pretty much vertical climb to get up to Kredarica.
From Krederica it's an easy path to get to Brda.
Halfway between Brda and Debela Peč the path joins with the path to Debela Peč from the Bled hut. This I guess is a very popular path because it got really busy at that point and remained busy all the way to Debela Peč where there were at least 20 people enjoying the views.
I arrive at the highest mountain peak for today: Debela Peč. It's great, but so were the other mountain peaks and this one did not add much to the experiences of today. If you don't like how busy it is you can skip it without missing much, just go down to the Bled hut after Brda.
From Debela Peč I follow the same path back down and then keep left to go towards the Bled hut. From there it's the same path again all the way back to the parking.
