We arrive at the parking a quarter past 9 in the morning. It's a public holiday today and the parking lot is quite full. We start on the same dirt road as a couple of days ago.
After a small distance on the dirt road we take the narrow forest path that branches off to the right. This path takes us across the little stream to the church of Saint Margaret.
The church of Saint Margaret is our first stop this hike.
We leave the Church of Saint Margaret and head toward the Church of Saint Catherine. The gravel path takes us close to the Jeterbenk peak, but we don’t visit it this time, having done so recently. Going over Jeterbenk is possible both on the way to Rog and on the way back, and it doesn’t add much distance.
We exit the forest onto a gravel road that takes us to the Church of Saint Catherine.
We arrive at the church of Saint Catherine, the door stands open, so we take a look inside.
We continue along a narrow path behind the church of Saint Catherine that leads up to Rog.
At practically 800 meters high, Rog offers great views all around. The church of Saint Jakob (nad Katarino) that we visited last week is only a kilometer away. Not to be confused with the church of Saint Jakob (na Petelincu) that we are visiting later during this hike.
Quite a steep section brings us back down from Rog to the intersection where you can go up to Jeterbenk or go alongside it on either side. We go right today.
We reach our last stop for today, the church of Saint Jakob (na Petelincu).
Another steep section takes us back down to dirt road and later the parking lot.
The parking comes into view and we proudly look back on the longest hike with our son yet.
