Parking
08:43 - 08:45 (2m36s) @ Parking below OsolnikWe arrive at the free street-side parking area below Osolnik at a quarter to 9. There are still plenty of spots available, but it tends to get busy quickly when the weather is so nice on a Saturday. The parking area sits between the road and Ločnica, a small stream. On the other side of the road is the start of our hike, a gravel road that leads up into the Polhov Gradec Hills.
The start
08:45 - 09:16 (31m3s)We follow the gravel road for a kilometer where a bridge takes us over a small stream. After the bridge a narrower gravel path branches off to the left while the road continues to the right. We continue onto the path.
Breakfast
09:16 - 09:37 (20m58s)A couple of fallen trees between the path and the little stream coming down the hill provide a perfect place to sit down for a little break and breakfast.
Continuing up
09:37 - 10:16 (38m48s)The path gets narrower and steeper with occasional steps and stairs before joining back up with the gravel road that took the long way around.
Out of the forest
10:16 - 10:39 (22m55s)The top of Osolnik is a mix of mostly grass fields the occasional group of trees. There are quite some buildings as well and the gravel road runs between them.
Osolnik
10:39 - 11:33 (54m16s) @ OsolnikThere is a church at the top of Osolnik.
Back down
11:33 - 12:40 (1h6m)We follow the same path down as we did coming up.
Finish
12:40 - 12:40 (46s) @ Parking below OsolnikThe path out of the forest drops us right back at the parking area.
