An easy hike in the Polhov Gradec Hills of Slovenia visiting the church of Saint Jakob. End quote.

Green hills, lush forest, and a church beautifully perched on top of a hill. All of this not far from Ljubljana and easy enough for even the youngest hikers. This checked all our boxes so we set off for this hike on a Saturday morning. The weather was great, the views beautiful, and my 4 year old son had a great time.

Free roadside parking is available in a few places along the road between Sora and Trnovec. The gravel path across the road is the starting point of this hike to the Church of Saint Jakob.

The way back down

The GPX route I had planned and the marked path were slightly different which resulted in us going off course a couple of time. But with such a pretty surrounding we didn't really care.
